Disciplined by rule.
Balanced by design.

MARBIN is a private, rules-based system for trading Shariah-compliant equities in London and New York. A Shariah index fund as its base, two disciplined strategies on top, one risk engine, and a forecast engine that checks every call it makes against what actually happened.

Order, out of the noise.

  • Debt under 33% of 24-month market value
  • Cash & securities under 33%
  • Interest income under 5% of revenue
  • Buys only after a temporary fall
  • Stops rest at the broker
  • Every trade sized by its risk
  • Re-screened every morning
  • Four parts index base · core · dip · reserve
  • Every forecast checked against the result
  • No leverage · no short selling

Approach

Three convictions, written down
before the first trade.

Permissible first

A company must pass the Shariah screen before it can be bought, and keep passing it to be held. Business activity, debt, cash and interest income are checked against the thresholds the major Islamic indices use.

Risk before return

Every order is sized from its stop, not from conviction. The stop comes from the stock’s own volatility and rests with the broker from the moment the order fills, whether or not the system is running.

Rules over impulse

Entries follow one written rule: a sound company, temporarily oversold, with no earnings report imminent and no red flags in the conversation around it. If any piece of data is missing, the answer is no.
